Volunteering

“If our hopes of building a better and safer world are to become more than wishful thinking, we will need the engagement of volunteers more than ever.” – Kofi Annan
RASNZ works to provide people from refugee backgrounds with access to quality, culturally-sensitive mental health services to assist with positive resettlement in Aotearoa.

Our passionate team of volunteers support people at all stages of their resettlement process. By joining the RASNZ volunteer programme, you are joining a global movement of people supporting the positive integration of refugees into their resettlement countries.

We commit to ensuring you have a volunteer experience that adds to your skill base by providing you with in-depth orientation and training where appropriate. Our intention is to equip all our volunteers with the tools to become advocates for those from refugee backgrounds.

We welcome you and look forward to embarking on this journey together for the sake of today’s refugees – and tomorrows New Zealanders.

Hungerball

RASNZ has partnered with the folks at Hungerball to provide active fun for children and young people from refugee backgrounds. Hungerball is fast and fun football, where players defend a goal and attach at once in a specially-designed six-goal inflatable arena. It can be played individually or in teams and suits all ages,

If you or your team would like to facilitate a Hungerball session at MRRC, get in touch with our Volunteer Coordinator today!
