Youth Leaders (3x Positions Available)

RASNZ Youth supports young people from refugee backgrounds with the aim of engaging, empowering and encouraging them to thrive as kiwis. Throughout the year, the RASNZ Youth Team coordinates a range of programmes including:

  • Holiday Programmes
  • Sports Teams
  • Youth and Family Programmes
  • Leadership Forums
  • Community and School connection
  • Cultural and Community Events

Job Description

The Youth Leader role is a part time position – 5 hours per week

Reports to the Youth Team Coordinator

RASNZ Youth is based at 1222A Dominion Road Mt Roskill

Skills and Experience

You will

  • Be identified as a young leader within your community
  • Have a good understanding of the social issues facing young people from refugee backgrounds
  • Be able to build positive relationships with young people and their families
  • Have the skills and attitude to work as part of a committed team
  • Bring creative and cool ideas for engaging young people
