Youth Programme Facilitator

 The RASNZ Youth Service is part of our Community Team.

This service supports young people from refugee backgrounds with the aim of engaging and empowering them to thrive as kiwis. We work collaboratively with other community and service groups to coordinate a range of programmes and events including:

  •  Youth empowerment programmes
  •  Holiday Programmes
  •  Sports and outdoor activities
  •  Leadership Forums
  •  Social events
  •  Cultural and Community Events
  •  Advocacy

Computer in Homes Family Liaison

 RASNZ, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and 2020 Communication Trust, provides a Computer in Homes training programme.

We are seeking a Family Liaison coordinator. If you have sound computer skills and are keen to support newly arrived families to resettle in Auckland, we would love to hear from you.

Programme Purpose

  • To provide digital education for families and their school aged children
  • To empower newly resettled families to develop their computer skills 

Role Description  

  • Coordinate and support the training programme
  • Provide home based support to ensure computers are operational
  • Visit and monitor the families’ progress
  • Provide basic technical support and advice
  • 2.5 hours on average per week over 40 weeks. This may include evenings and weekends.

Skills and Experience

  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have own transport and full licence
