Patron

Helen Clark was appointed Patron of RASNZ in 2017. As a former Prime Minister of New Zealand and the first female administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our organisation.

Helen has a long history of supporting refugees. During her time as Prime Minister, she agreed to take 150 Afghan refugees rescued from a fishing boat off the coast of Australia. She has since described this as one of her proudest moments as Prime Minister.
